Information relating to the Mens Section at Beeston Fields Golf Club
The Men’s Section is a thriving, competitive and friendly part of Beeston Fields Golf Club. Here you will find information about upcoming fixtures, results of completed competitions and general competition news
We run a mix of men only and mixed competitions. Saturday is the main competition day. Additionally, there are weekday competitions at least twice a month. During the main season, most of the competitions are qualifiers. The off season is made up of friendly competitions that include a winter league program. The key focus of the section is to maximise participation and promote a fun and friendly environment.
We ensure that all competitions are open to players of all handicaps. Whilst all players can participate in Honours Board competitions, there is an upper handicap limit for winning the Honours Board trophies.

Comps Team
Men's Foursomes medal from the White tees, with the top 16 pairs qualifying for the summer running knockout stage.
Play as a pair and decide which player will drive from the odd numbered holes and who will drive from even. Shots are then taken alternately.
Shots allowed are 50% of your combined Course Handicaps.
Prizes will be awarded for the best scores on the day and the top 16 pairs will qualify for the BFGC Foursomes knockout. No handicap limit applies for prizes on the day, but as the knockout is an Honours Board event, there will be a maximum of 22 Course Handicap applied to each player in working out the top 16 qualifying pairs.
Simply record your correct goss score on each hole. The Competition Committee will make any required adjustments for the 22 shot limit.
Sign in via the clubhouse terminals before commencing your round for entry to the competition.
ENTER SCORES ONLINE on completion of your round and then post your completed and signed card in the Comps post box.
Reminder as this is a pairs comp, you are expected to play if you’ve not removed yourself with good notice from the tee sheet, having first notified your playing partner as a matter of courtesy. If you are unable to play at short notice, please inform the pro shop.
