Ladies Fixture List

Below are fixtures for all ladies competitions

This week's competitions are the Ping & Club 4BBB competition and a 9 hole concurrent stableford competition.

The Ping 4BBB, leading to possible qualificaiton to the National Finals, is run in conjunction with a club 4BBB competition.

The club 4BBB is £2.50 per person (£5.00 per pair). The Ping 4BBB cost as advised by England Golf is currently an additional £5.00 per pair. Ladies should sign in as a pair and must select the option to enter the Ping 4BBB and write "Ping 4BBB" on the scorecard if they wish to enter the Ping competition. If not entering the Ping 4BBB write "Club 4BBB" on the scorecard.
Players in the 9 hole Stableford competition should sign in as normal

Ping 4BBB winners qualify for the National Finals if their score is one of the top 52 in England, which this year is at Thonock Park on 8th September. The winners also receive a prize from Ping. Prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place in the club competition.

Handicap allowance = 85% of course handicap for the 18 hole 4BBB
Playing handicap for the 9 hole stableford = 95% of course handicap

Upcoming weekend competitions Saturday 26th July - either Alternate Day Summer Cup Stableford Q or Ladies weekend running competition Medal Q

For any Ladies not able to play this coming Tuesday, scores may be entered as an Alternate Day card this Saturday. (See this coming Tuesday's fixture for details of this competition). There are no set times for the alternate day, the competition may be played at any time by signing up on BRS. The scorecard must be marked by another fully paid up member of BFGC, Lady or Gentleman. The marker doesn't need to be playing in the competition.

A Lady can't compete twice in the same competition by entering an alternate day card and a Tuesday card. The alternate day competition will be closed and then merged with results on the following Tuesday to determine prizes.

This week's competitions are an 18 hole Stableford for the Summer Cup and a concurrent 9 hole stableford competition.
Handicap Index limit of 30 for the cup only. Winner of the cup will be the best score, regardless of Division. Other prizes awarded for 2nd to 4th again regardless of division.

Playing handicap (strokes received) = 95% of course handicap

Upcoming weekend competition: Saturday 2nd August - Millenium Trophy Mixed

Mixed Medal with men playing from the white tees and ladies from the red tees.

Qualifier for the Men's Eclectic (best gross and nett scores at each hole over all Thursday and Saturday Medals to October) and the Gosling Cup (best 6 aggregate gross and net rounds over the same events) for which there is no separate entry fee.

The winner of each Division in the Thursday Mixed Medals from August 2022 to June 2025 will qualify for the 2025 Medal Finals to be played alongside the July Thursday Medal with the highest placed qualifier being crowned as 2025 Thursday Medal Finals winner.  A list of players qualifying to compete for the trophy will be drawn up after the June Thursday Medal.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 95% of Course Handicap.

Mixed Medal with men playing from the white tees and ladies from the red tees.

As an Honours Board trophy, a Playing Handicap Limit of 22 for men and 30 for ladies applies to the trophy winner only. To win the trophy at least 3 qualifier competition scores must have been made during the last 12 months. No handicap limit applies for all divisional prizes. 

Record the gross score for each hole. The Competition Committee will make any required adjustments for the 22 or 30 shot limit.

Qualifies for the Chambers Quaich order of merit for top 30 placings in Honours Board events throughout the season for which there is no separate entry fee.

Upcoming weekend competition: Saturday 9th August - Junior Funds Comp mixed

Our annual fundraiser in support of the development of junior golf at Beeston Fields will be a team Am-Am stableford, with the best two scores to count on each hole.  Men will play off the white tees and ladies off red tees.

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 85% of Course Handicap, subject to a maximum Course Handicap of 36 for men and 45 for ladies.  Players with higher handicaps may enter but will receive shots based on these limits.

As a team competition this is a Non-Qualifier for handicap purposes.

The competition this week is a 4 ball better ball, when playing members may invite Ladies from other clubs to partner them on the day. Entry fee is £12.00 per pair. Number and prize categories will be determined by number of entrants. Club competition prizes are also awarded for 1st and 2nd.

This week is the Ladies Autumn meeting, with the 18 hole Medal competition playing for the Thoresby Bowl presented in 1926. Upper Handicap limit of 30 for the cup only, with winner being best net score regardless of division subject to handicap limit.

There is also a concurrent 9 hole stableford competition.

Foursomes playing handicap (strokes received) = 50% of the combined course handicap.

Singles playing handicap (strokes received) = 95% of the course handicap.
