Maximum Handicap in Senior Competitions

Important Clarification 

Following a meeting of the seniors' competitions sub-committee, it was felt that the playing handicap fix of 36 was difficult to manage and maintain.
It is "strongly recommended" by England Golf that any capping of handicap for competition purposes should be applied to the Handicap Index.
We have decided to follow that recommendation and in ALL future Senior competitions, a Handicap Index Limit 36.0 will apply.

That means for example

Seniors Medal and Stableford 95% handicap
Max Hcp Index = 36.0 Course Hcp = 42 Playing Hcp = 40

Pair Betterball 85%
Max Hcp Index = 36.0 Course Hcp = 42 Playing Hcp = 36

American Greensome 40%
Max Hcp Index = 36.0 Course Hcp = 42 Playing Hcp = 17

We feel that the above will make it easier to manage senior competitions going forward
