On a very dreary 7th December, new Men's Captain, Phil James, drove off from the first tee to formally mark the start of his year.

After enjoying a coffee, sausage roll and optional whisky, courtesy of the new captain, around 80 players took to the course despite the threat from Storm Darragh (although not all finished 18 holes).

Once the golf and prize presentation had been completed the Captains, Phil and Linda, introduced a representative from their chosen charity who gave a brief presentation. Fund raising from the Ladies' Captain's drive in earlier in the week, together with the proceeds of a raffle at this event, raised a total of nearly £1000 for My Bag
