Please book your tee time via BRS normally for Thursday.

Obtain your scorecard from the Pro shop and sign in to the competition on the How Did I Do system before you tee off

This will enter you into the comp and deduct the entry fee from your competition purse. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your purse.

Enter full names and handicaps on your scorecard and exchange it with he other pair for scoring purposes. At the end of the round check your card and score and make sure the Player and Scorer sign it.

DO NOT ENTER YOUR SCORES ONTO THE COMPUTER.

Place the signed scorecard into the SENIORS letter box in the Players Lounge in the Club House

ALL OTHER CARDS WILL BE DISREGARDED.

Mats Everywhere, except on teeing area of hole being played where a driver is used.  Mats may not be used in penalty areas or when using a putter.

Seniors 4 Man Team Yellow Ball 

85% Handicap allowance      Stableford

Rotate yellow ball from player 1-4. so player A and B  play yellow ball 5 times.  player C and D play yellow ball 4 times each.

Rotating yellow ball + 1 other score to count on each hole. so 2 scores on each hole in total.

Full names and handicaps on cards, please.

Please book your tee time via BRS in the normal way for Thursday and organise your own 4 balls.

We would ask all members to sign in individually via HowDidiDo on the computer or your phone before playing.
The comp on HowDidiDo will say 'Singles Stableford'. but this is just to collect the entry fee.

Holes 1 to 6 played as a better ball, holes 7 to 12played as foursomes, holes 13 to 18 played as both to count.

Better ball playing handicap (strokes received) = 85% of the Winter course handicap. Course handicap limit applied. 36 for men and 45 for ladies. Players with higher handicaps may enter but will receive shots based on these limits.

Foursomes playing handicap (strokes received) = 50% of the combined Winter course handicaps.

Singles playing handicap (strokes received) = 95% of the Winter course handicap.

This week's competition is an 18 hole AM-AM. Teams of 4, best 2 Stableford scores to count on each hole

Playing Handicap (strokes received) = 85% of course handicap

Sign in to the comp via clubv1 or at the proshop - for charging for competition only. Ensure your card has been completed correctly (names, date, handicap index, course and playing handicap for each player and signatures of player & marker). Score entry in the computer is not required, just place scorecard into the Ladies letterbox

There will a concurrent 9 hole stableford available for Ladies not playing 18 holes (usual rules apply)

A Sign up sheet will be available after lunch on 20th February

on Thursday 6th March a random draw will take place to allocate partners and starting hole

If you become unavailable after this draw is is YOUR responsibility to find a substitute and inform your partner

Entry Fee is £5 to include a Sausage Cob

There will be no earlier starts on that day. This way we can have a full clubhouse for the Presentations.

The Prizes will also be presented for the 2025 Winter Oder of Merit

Men's Foursomes medal from the White tees, with the top 16 pairs qualifying for the summer running knockout stage.

Play as a pair and decide which player will drive from the odd numbered holes and who will drive from even. Shots are then taken alternately.

Shots allowed are 50% of your combined Course Handicaps. 

Prizes will be awarded for the best scores on the day and the top 16 pairs will qualify for the BFGC Foursomes knockout.  No handicap limit applies for prizes on the day, but as the knockout is an Honours Board event, there will be a maximum of 22 Course Handicap applied to each player in working out the top 16 qualifying pairs.

Simply record your correct goss score on each hole. The Competition Committee will make any required adjustments for the 22 shot limit.

Reminder as this is a pairs comp, you are expected to play if you’ve not removed yourself with good notice from the tee sheet, having first notified your playing partner as a matter of courtesy.  If you are unable to play at short notice, please inform the pro shop.

Qualifies for the Chambers Quaich order of merit for top 30 placings in Honours Board events throughout the season for which there is no separate entry fee.

Qualifies for the Men's Eclectic (best gross and nett scores at each hole over all Thursday and Saturday Medals to October) and the Gosling Cup (best 6 aggregate gross and net rounds over the same events) for which there is no separate entry fee.

The Rabbits Cup is awarded to the highest placed player with a Playing Handicap of 23 or over. To win the trophy at least 3 qualifier competition scores must have been made during the last 12 months.   No handicap limit applies for all divisional prizes.

This week's 18 hole Stableford competition is for the Lady President's Bowl, presented by Mrs F Mitchell in 1952. Upper Handicap limit of 30 for the bowl only, with winner being best net score regardless of division subject to handicap limit.

There is also a concurrent 9 hole stableford competition.

18 Hole Non-Qualifying Bogey - ie matchplay against the course using the index of the hole to determine where shots are taken, i.e. assume the course is a scratch player.  Record gross score and whether you win ('+'), halve ('0') or lose ("-") each hole then add up the total.

Prizes for the overall men's trophy winner (subject to a maximum Playing Handicap of 22) and the top 3 in each division excluding the overall winner (no handicap limit applies, but also subject to having played 3 qualifying comps in the last 12 months).  Prizes will be presented just before the President's Dinner at around 6.45pm.  Prize winners are requested to attend wherever possible, even if not attending the dinner.

This week's 18 hole competition is a Stableford competition, with concurrent entry into Barnsdale qualifying for best 16 scores. No upper limit for results on the day, but an upper Handicap index limit of 30 for subsequent matchplay. Entry fee is standard £2.50 for the Stableford competition and £4.00 for the knockout cup. Please mark clearly on your scorecard if you are entering the Barnsdale

There is also a concurrent 9 hole stableford competition.
